Danny Arndt

Danny Arndt, age 76, formerly of Hampton, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Grand Island Veterans Hospital.
Danny’s wishes were to be cremated.   Private family burial will be at the Hampton Cemetery.   No Visitation. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.   Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Danny Rae Arndt, the son of Ralph and Ona (Budler) Arndt was born at Aurora, on January 26, 1947 and passed away in Grand Island, on May 25, 2023, at the age of 76.
He grew up in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School in 1965.   Danny served in the U.S. Navy from January 1966 to December of 1969 when he was honorably discharged. He was stationed at Lamoor Naval Base in California and served on the U.S. Saratoga.  
On April 10, 1966, he was united in marriage to Judy Penner at United Lutheran Church at Hampton. They had two sons: Steve and Matt.   The majority of his career was spent in the automotive industry,
On December 16, 1989 he married Becky A. O’Brien at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island.  
Danny’s hobbies included over the years were hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Rehrs and step-son, Danny.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky of Grand Island; 2 sons, Steve (Jennifer) Arndt and Matt (Angie) Arndt, all of Hampton; 5 grandchildren, Ashlynn and Jacob Arndt, Jaylen, Abbey and Eli Arndt; step-daughter, Jennifer O’Brien Lomax of California and other relatives and friends.
