Arthur "Bud" Ritz

Arthur" Bud" Ritz entered into heaven and was met by Jesus, his Savior and Lord on April 28, 2024 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was surrounded by many family members at his earthy home. 
Bud was born to Erich and Marie (Schwadwerer) Ritz in Sherman County, on September 5, 1932. After growing up near Loup City and Arcadia, the family moved to Comstock where he then graduated from Comstock in 1950. In 1952 he was married to his high school classmate and sweetheart, Marian Hovie. In 1962 they moved to Siloam Springs and began raising broiler chickens and registered Angus cattle.
Children of the family were Monica (Don) Rone, Laura (Jim) Hall, Tom (Chelli Strandburg) Ritz, Linda (Dan) Huenefeld, Steve (Annie Herbig) Ritz, and  Stacy (Charles) Slaughter.
He is surrived by his six children, eighteen grandchildren, many great-grand-children and two sisters, Carolyn (Ernest) Moravec, and Maxine (Byron) Lewin, and many other relatives and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his wife Marian, his parents Erich and Marie Ritz, and 3 grandsons, Troy Hall, Jacob and Joshua Ritz. 
Bud and Marian had always considered Comstock their second home and returned there whenever possible. They especially loved the 4th of July celebrations and family reunions. 
Memorial services will be held in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on May 3 and then on July 5 in Comstock. lnurnment will be at the Douglas Grove cemetery outside of Comstock on that date. Memorial gifts will be given as Bud had wanted to the town of Comstock.
