Helen Jacobsen
Helen J. Reiter was born in Hazard to Lester E. and Myrtle M Brower Reiter. She received her early education at Hazard and graduated from Miller High class of 1946. She attended Kearney State to become a certified teacher. Helen taught 3rd grade at Watertown from 1947-1949.
Donald W. Jameson married Helen in 1949. To this union two children were born. Judy A Henriksen (Donald) grandchildren Mathew, Wendy, and Phillip. Great-granddaughters Lilly Henriksen, Aubrey Wiest, and Jacob, plus one greatgranddaughter. James L.(Jana) granddaughter Stacy granddaughter Violet and his wife’s children Christopher, Lindsay, Brandi, Ashley, and Monica.
Don and Helen farmed and ranched for fifteen years until 1965 when they moved to Hampton. They operated two restaurants D&J Texaco and Helen’s, home of the Helen burger. They also catered for many family’s schools and businesses until Dons death in 1987.
Art Jacobsen and Helen were united in marriage in 1988. This added Arts children Steve (Sherry) children Brad, Tonya, Dara, and Kendra, Mike (Cindy), children Angie, Drue, Chris. Karma (Don) Benson children Kiane, Kyle, and Amy. Art also had 36 great-grands, and 3 great-great-grand’s. There are no services planned at this time.
