Aurora girls claim team title behind Peterson’s
top performance Friday
Aurora freshman Stella Peterson gets a big hug from her Mom, Sunny Wendt, after setting a new personal record in the triple jump with a mark of 37-7 to win the event at Broken Bow Friday.
Aurora’s Colten Nachtigal finished fourth in the 110 high hurdles as well as fifth in the 300 hurdles during his efforts at Friday’s Broken Bow Invite. Currently, Nachtigal holds the area’s best season times in both events.
Jordyn Slagle ran well in a number of events, including second in the 400.
It was a chaotic 10 minutes for Stella Peterson around lunch time in Broken Bow. The Aurora freshman ended up second in the 100 meter dash to Kearney Catholic’s Hazel Haarberg, running a 13.05 to Haarberg’s 12.10.
