    Scott Beyer has carved a name for himself over his 36 years in the U.S. Forest Service and now through his retirement hobby of woodcarving. The Hamilton County native, who now lives in Bend, Ore., says he has had a love for the outdoors as long as he can remember, but could never see himself as a farmer. “I really like the fresh air,” Beyer said. “But farming was not in the cards...
