    A year-long process to essentially rebuild 1st Street from the Highway 34 intersection to the railroad tracks crossed a major milestone last week as the street was officially declared open and ready for use. Crews from Mid-Nebraska Land Developers removed the final “Street Closed” barricades at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, providing full access to the road and all access streets. There is some finish work to do in the spring involving seeding, though JEO officials report that the project is mostly complete.
