Doris Andersen

Doris Marie Andersen, age 94, of Aurora, died Friday, September 26, 2025, at Aurora. 
Doris Marie Andersen  was born November 16, 1930 to Elmer H. and Mabel (Zwiebel) Heiden at Thayer,  and died on September 26, 2025 at Aurora, at the age of 94.
Doris attended elementary school at St. Paul Lutheran School and went on to graduate from Benedict Consolidated High School in 1948. 
Doris met the love of her life, Don Andersen, on May 29, 1955.   They married January 13, 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural York.   They lived on the farm north of Aurora, where they made a home for their three children, Donalyn, Doug, and Dorlene. 
Doris was a free spirit and lived life to the fullest. She loved being outdoors and working on the farm with Don or in her kitchen baking cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes and gingerbread houses.   Doris enjoyed playing her piano, singing, dancing, traveling, and working at the Thrift Shop.   Most of all, she delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, Sapphire and Crystal. 
Raised in the Lutheran faith, Doris shared her love for the Lord with many young children as a Sunday School teacher.   One of her favorite Bible passages was Revelation 2:10….Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 
Those left to cherish her memory are Donalyn (Peter) Katt of Lincoln, Doug (Keiko) Andersen of Marquette, and Dorlene Andersen of Lincoln; her grandchildren; many friends and relatives.
