Gary Eberle
Gary E. Eberle, age 75 of Bradshaw, died Monday, September 30, 2024 in Bradshaw. He was born on April 8, 1949 to Lloyd and Lela (Schall) Eberle in Nelson. On August 30, 1969 he was united in marriage to Nancy Kohtz at Zion Lutheran Church, near Hampton.
Gary attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln in agricultural engineering and loved being a farmer, making it his life’s work. He also raised purebred swine and sold them in many states, Korea, Japan and Mexico. He was very strong in his faith as a member in the Zion Lutheran Church near Hampton. Gary dearly loved his wife of 55 years, and his family, raising two sons and now has four grandchildren.
He was known by his family as the person who could “fix anything”, not just with duct tape, but whatever it took. He never came upon a project he couldn’t complete. He was an avid collector of various farm and other toys or models, such as John Deere, International Harvestor, Tru Scale, Bi-Planes, Model Trains, specialty cars and toy banks, and his Royals Bobblehead Collection, among other treasures. Gary was always a willing volunteer to serve on various boards, commissions, and in many agricultural organizations. He was an NRD board member for 26 years, and the Nebraska Corn Growers Association.
Gary is survived by his wife Nancy of Bradshaw, twin sons Kirk (Misty) Eberle, and Craig (Sarah) Eberle, all of rural Bradshaw, grandchildren Cole, Eve, Hagen, and Hanley, sister Linda (Ken) Sandrock of Falls City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
