Shirley Snyder

Shirley Snyder, age 89, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Memorial Community Care.
Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 23 at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.   Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Shirley Ann Snyder was born on April 28, 1935 at Kettering, England and passed away August 18, 2024 at Aurora, at the age of 89.
Shirley grew up in Kettering, England.  She moved to the United States and lived in Maywood, Illinois. Shirley was united to Donald Eugene Snyder on October 25, 1975 at Chicago, Illinois. They had two daughter, Elisa and Christina.   When they moved to Aurora, Shirley stayed at home to raise their daughters.   Don passed away on March 8, 2009
Shirley enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making homemade crafts and feeding the neighborhood cats.   She loved going to thrift stores and garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald and daughter, Christina Snyder.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Elisa (Randy) Foged of Aurora; son, Paul Masters of England; 9 grandchildren, Trey (Amber) Snyder of North Platte, Sierra Foged of Memphis, TN, Gage Foged, Shae Foged, Dominic Foged, Madison Foged, Ryker Foged, all of Aurora and Adam Masters and Hailey Masters, both of England and 3 great-grandchildren, Onix, Silas and Oziah Snyder, all of North Platte.   She is also survived by her sister, Diana Reed of Kettering, England; nephew, Stephen Reed of England and other family members and friends.
