(Van Housen) Lindburg, 48, of Tabernash, Colorado passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.  Graveside services will be held at Polk Cemetery on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Nestor officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.
Denise was born on August 24, 1975 to Dennis and Cheryl (Bush) Van Housen in York.  She grew up in the Polk area and graduated from Polk-Hordville High School in 1994.  She then attended Dana College where she also pursued her passion of playing collegiate softball.  Denise then moved to Kearney, where she worked for Baldwin Filters for several years.  She then moved to Hordville where she worked at the Merrick County Courthouse for several years.  In March of 2017, she then moved to Tabernash, Colorado where she was a Communications Manager at ATECH. Denise thoroughly enjoyed getting to go to work every day at ATECH.  On August 20, 2022 Denise was united in marriage to Kris Lindburg in Tabernash, where they currently reside.
Denise loved doing anything in the outdoors.  From the time she was little following her three older brothers around to when she moved to Colorado, she wanted to be outside.  She especially loved being able to overlook the Continental Divide out her front door, as well as snowmobiling, cross country skiing and riding her bike in the mountains.  She also enjoyed golfing, exercising, gardening, watching the hummingbirds on her feeders, and especially dogs.  Denise was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was a stray dog or someone in need.  Her friends always meant the world to her, but her greatest love was getting to spend time with her family, especially her beloved nieces and nephews.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kris of Tabernash, CO; her parents, Dennis and Cheryl Van Housen of Polk; her brothers, Craig Van Housen of Polk, Paul (Tammy) Van Housen of Polk, and Dale (Hilary) Van Housen of Kearney; her nieces and nephews, Taylor, Gavin, Madison, Morgan, Kyler, Keaton, Vance, and Vera.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil and Myrtle Bush and Lloyd and Marjorie Van Housen.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltwagnerfuneral.com.
