Mary (Graham) Timmins, age 69, passed away Aug. 11, 2020 at her home in Littleton, Colo., with her husband and daughters by her side after a long, heroic battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. at Missions Hills Church in Littleton, Colo. Mary Ella Graham, daughter of Margery and Jack Graham, was born July 6, 1951 in Aurora. She grew up in Aurora with her loving parents and grandparents, sisters Pat and Donna, brother Jack, and her extraordinary extended 9th Street neighborhood family. Mary was baptized and made her confession of faith April 7, 1963 at the Christian Church in Aurora.

She graduated from Aurora High School with the Class of 1969. Mary was active in vocal music, band, cheerleading, and 1969 prom queen. After graduation, she continued her education in the nursing field, graduating from nursing school in 1972. She worked for many wonderful doctors during her nearly 40 year pediatric nursing career including Dr. Pat Madden in Aurora and also in Colorado. One of her greatest joys and true calling in life was the care of her patients, including her children and grandchildren, alongside Dr. Vince DiMaria and the great team of doctors and nurses at Arapahoe Park Pediatrics. Mary retired in 2016. She was loved dearly by her patients and colleagues.

On July 15, 1973 Mary was united in marriage to Robert Patterson in Aurora. Together they raised two daughters, Jennifer and Leigh Ella.

On May 8, 1999 she married Mike Timmins in Littleton, Colo. Mike and Mary connected through their unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ. They loved to travel together, exploring God’s beauty. From the unforgettable sunsets in Kauai and Maui, to the dairy farms of Wisconsin. Together they explored historical sites and landmarks throughout the US and Europe, and always looked forward to the serenity of their annual trip to Breckenridge, Colo. Mike showed Mary the world, her children will always hold dear the tales of their adventures together.

Mary cherished her time as an active volunteer and member of Mission Hills Church in Littleton. This was an important part of her life’s work, even throughout her illness and treatment. She served, caring for babies in the nursery and for special needs children during church services. She provided outreach and support to families and individuals in need through the Life Center food bank in Littleton. Mary was a dedicated student of Christ though her Bible study groups and church family. Memorials in Mary’s honor can be made to Mission Hills Church, designated for the Life Center, at 630 South Park Dr., Littleton, Colorado 80120.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Mike of 21 years; her daughter Jennifer and her husband Greg, grandsons Alex, Cody and Jacob; her daughter Leigh Ella and husband Sean, grandchildren Seanie, Ella, Luke, and Jack; Mike’s sons Terry and his wife Angie, granddaughter Leilani; Patrick and his wife Stephanie, grandchildren Michael and Katie; daughter Heather and grandchildren Payton and Jackson; as well as her sisters Pat (Dick) Phillips, and Donna (Bob) Phillips of Aurora, and brother Jack (Suzanne) Graham of Lincoln, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Margery Graham, maternal grandparents, Ted and Viola Mapes and Mike’s parents Paul and Evelyn Timmins.
