APS announces registration for 2020-21 school year

The Aurora Public School has released registration information for the 2020/2021 school year. Registration is for the new students that have not already registered for the upcoming school year.

Exempt school students who would like to register for classes need to attend new student registration. Students who were in attendance during the 2019/2020 school year have already registered.

New students in grade K-5 will register at the office of the elementary principal at 300 H St. on Monday, Aug. 3, between the hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.

Registration for all 6-12 students new to the Aurora school district will be held at the following times and dates:

New students in grades 6-8 will register at the middle school counselor’s office at 3rd and L Streets on Monday, Aug. 3, between the hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. New students in grades 9-12 will register in the high school counselor’s office at 3rd and L Streets on Monday, Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All new students will need the following information: birth certificate, immunization record and current transcript/records.

Kindergarten students, seventh grade students and students enrolling from out of state will need a current physical and must have Varicella (chicken pox) documentation before enrolling.

If these items are not provided, students will not receive their schedule or teacher assignment and will not be able to start school until these items are provided.

All Aurora District 4R Schools grades K-9 will open at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13. The middle school and high school will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. with the elementary dismissing at 11:15 a.m. Students in grades 10-12 will start on Friday, Aug. 14 at 8:20 a.m.
