The Students 4 Sustainability Club from CCC drilled holes in the ground and then placed nearly 30 different types of annuals and perennials for the garden, to provide food sources and a breeding grounds for butterflies, bees and other types of insects.

Little Stingers Childcare had its two modulars relocated to the lot south of Giltner Elementary School last week to expand its facilities in order to meet the growing needs for children and staff. Little Stingers will be hosting a womens nine-hole golf scramble on June 12 to raise money for the ongoing construction and facility needs.

Siblings Grace and Noah Ziegler both graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska Omaha this spring. They are the children of Dan and Dixie Ziegler of Aurora.

As she retires from her career as Hampton’s 2nd grade teacher, Barb Parsley says she is grateful for the support she has received in her 20 years at Hampton and the opportunity to truly know her students.

Aurora grad Christina Powell has recently become the behavioral health supervisor at Children’s Nebraska in Omaha, supervising Children’s newly-added Behavioral Health and Wellness Center of outpatient and integrated care. Along with providing care for patients, she provides clinical supervision for therapists and psychologists working toward their independent license. Sitting with Powell are her two children, Evan and Marisa.
