Joint venture set for ethanol plant

Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company and KAAPA Ethanol Holdings, LLC announced a joint venture Friday involving Aurora Cooperative’s ethanol and grain facilities located west of town.

Tri-Fit expands fitness offerings

Ten months after opening the doors at their new Tri-Fit business venture on K Street, owners Amy and Nick Owens announced major plans this week to add staff and class offerings to include more yoga and high-energy kickboxing.

Aurora firefighters battle two fires Thursday

Firefighters with the Aurora Fire Department had two calls on Thursday, one to a ditch fire on 11 and M Roads at around 2:30 p.m., and a field fire south of the I-80 Hampton exit at around 5 p.m.

Back by popular demand, three area communities are making plans for a combined event inviting area patrons to shop, dine and explore in Central Nebraska. Small Town Market Days had a strong debut in October of last year, then followed up with a spring version of the same concept in April.
