Memorial Day events to honor veterans

Hamilton County locals are invited to attend Memorial Day events in various communities on Monday to honor veterans who died while serving in the American military. The Aurora American Legion Post 42 and Aurora VFW Post 4993 will conduct services at five locations, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Each year, nominations are accepted for the William and Delight Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership. Since 2011 the Hamilton Community Foundation has presented an Aurora Public Schools staff with the Eloe Award.

City Council approves plats, annexation for Mission Critical

Mission Critical, a project initiated by the Aurora Development Corporation (ADC) to attract ag-based businesses to a plot of land near the “Welcome to Aurora” sign, took a major step forward last week thanks to action by the Aurora City Council.

Bremer Center finishes major interior renovation project

Chief Industries Inc. finished most of the interior renovations of the Bremer Community Center this month adding new style, enhancements and rooms to the gathering place off of Highway 14.
