Synergen open house Tuesday

Synergen Green Energy Inc. will host a community open house on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Bremer Community Center in Aurora from 5 to 7 p.m. The open house is an opportunity to learn more about Synergen’s plans for an ammonia facility in Hamilton County.

Half a dozen candidates have filed to run for various local elected offices so far in the 2024 election cycle in Hamilton County. Two seats on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners are up reelection in 2024, as well as seats in three wards for the Aurora City Council.

Swartz sentenced to prison for assault

A Marquette man has been sentenced after being found guilty of first degree sexual assault and first degree false imprisonment by a Hamilton County jury in November. At a hearing held Thursday morning, District Judge Rachel A. Daugherty sentenced 26-year-old Anthoney E.
