Unidentified man struck by vehicle near Phillips

Body

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is seeking help from the public in identifying a man who was struck by a vehicle on Highway 34 near Phillips early this morning.
Sheriff Jeromy McCoy reports that deputies responded to a vehicle/pedestrian injury accident on the highway spur between Highway 34 and the village of Phillips at 6:51 this morning.  McCoy said the pedestrian was a white man of medium build with medium length brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a long black down puffy coat, gray sweat pants, a white shirt and a black sweatshirt.
The man apparently was not carrying ID so the sheriff's office is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the victim who was transported to  St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island for treatment. Above are photos of the sweatshirt and a knife the man was carrying.
Anyone with information about the identity of the victim is asked to contact the sheriff's office.
