Much like the rest of the world, Hamilton County pushed through 2020 as best as it could and came out on top. This was due in part to the support of its community, as well as the continued drive and support of local organizations.
The Hamilton Community Foundation (HCF) awarded $875,000 worth of grants and scholarships this year, almost $80,000 of which were COVID relief grants to vital resources across the county.
“Really what started it was just seeing the needs of the community,” said Tammy Morris, HCF executive director. “When things really started to happen and people were not able to work and there was a lot of concern about if this could be long-term and how could the foundation really help support our community.”
