Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. Listed below are the minimum requirements for each entity and the name of its respective dean or director. All qualifying gradepoint averages are based on a four-point scale and a minimum number of graded semester hours, which varied by college during the spring semester. Students can be on the Deans’ List for more than one college.

Washburn Univ. announces academic honors

Washburn University is pleased to announce its President’s List honorees for the spring 2020 semester. To qualify for the President’s List, a student must complete at least 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester grade point average of 4.0.

Among more than 750 students, Hannah Mitchell of Aurora qualified for this honor.

Washburn University has also announced its 2020 Dean’s List honorees. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled in 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 to 3.99. Ady Narber, of Phillips,

Ady Narber, of Phillips, was named as a Dean’s List honoree for the spring 2020 semester among almost 900 other students who qualified for this list.

Hamilton Community Foundation grant applications due July 15

Grant applications are now being accepted by the Hamilton Community Foundation for eligible charitable projects in Hamilton County. The grant application and guidelines are available online at www.hcfne. org.

Please note there is a new grant application and requirements. Only applications submitted with the new form will be considered.

Completed applications may be delivered to the foundation office at 1108 L St., or mailed to PO Box 283, Aurora, NE 68818. Applications must be received by Wednesday, July 15.
