Approximately 20 associates and family members gathered in a Hamilton County courtroom Sept. 13 to witness the swearing in of newly appointed Clerk Magistrate Carly Noack.  The oath of office was administered by Judge Lynelle D. Homolka with Noack’s peers and family in attendance.

City council OKs fiscal budget

The Aurora City Council signed off on the 2023-24 fiscal year budget last week, approving a $62,000 increase in tax asking and a 2 percent increase in the tax levy.

Under an interlocal agreement approved by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners on Monday, Sept. 11, the Village of Marquette will receive 10 hours of patrol time by sheriff’s deputies each month beginning Oct. 1.

Art Walk marks 10th anniversary

A splash of fall color made its way early at the Hamilton County Courthouse lawn Sunday as artists presented their artwork for the 10th annual Aurora Art Walk. Since 2014, Art Walk has been a fall event that helps promote the arts within the community.
