Joseph Ernst was sworn in as the newest Aurora police officer during a brief Aurora City Council meeting on Aug. 22.Ernst, who was joined in attendance by his wife, Cassidy, repeated the oath as directed by City Attorney Ross Luzum, officially becoming the 10th member of the department.
