It’s time to ‘Make Appeal to Heaven’

Dear Editor:Since Greg and I were carrying an unusual flag in the A’ROR’N Days Parade, an explanation is due.  The flag we carried is a replica of the first flag used in our nation. George Washington commissioned the naval ships during the Revolutionary War, to fly the “An Appeal to Heaven” flag.

LB 1402 an insult to 117,000 who signed petition

Dear Editor:Last year our state senators passed LB753 which would have diverted state tax money to fund private school scholarships. After a successful petition drive to get the issue on the ballot to possibly repeal it, the senators repealed it themselves this spring.
