Community losing sense of family

Dear Editor:I’ve lived in Hamilton County for 68 of my 69 years. I now live across the road from my childhood home. I can remember back when our neighbors all worked together to harvest hay, silage, corn and milo.

A giant Husker letdown

What a disappointment. While the ending of Friday’s Nebraska/Iowa game was a gut-punch for Husker football faithful, something before the regular season finale is what many are still talking about, for all the wrong reasons.

It is a time to give thanks, and not just because the calendar says late November. Our community, state and nation need a brief pause now to reflect and consider all the blessings in our lives, and on that note an official day of Thanksgiving is just what the doctor ordered.

Time to close door on Synergen

Dear Editor:While Synergen may think they are doing a huge service to our community, our community does not want another large water using facility in our county. They state approximately 65 jobs will be created, which is purely speculative.
