Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop volunteers celebrated surpassing $2 million in cumulative sales since the store’s opening in 1973 as reported at a meeting at the Poco Creek Clubhouse Monday afternoon.

Just over four months after stepping into his new role as CEO at Memorial Community Health in Aurora, Justin Wolf said this week he is pleased with the progress made on the staffing front, noting the addition of four new members to MCHI’s team of medical professionals.
With the CDC community transmission level currently showing as yellow, MCHI’s staff, including clinic lab staff Arianna Harvey (left) and Morgan Sutter, are not required to wear a mask within the facility unless certain circumstances exist or while performing any tests that may normally require them to wear a mask.

Memorial Community Health, Inc. administrators gave two big announcements this week in the fight against COVID-19.  First, healthcare providers and visitors at MCHI have the choice to go maskless since Oct. 3 after 2-1/2 years of a mask mandate.

Twenty-two teams competed Friday in the 18th annual Memorial Community Health Golf Benefit. This event concluded Memorial Foundation’s fundraising efforts for the next generation ultrasound system, scheduled to be up and running in November.

MCHI CEO shares initial insight Six weeks into his new role as CEO at Memorial Community Health, Justin Wolf said he has been impressed with the healthcare organization he now leads as well as its host community, while also recognizing that this is indeed a significant time of transition.
Diane Keller will retire this month as CEO at Memorial Community Health. She served as the fourth CEO since MCHI opened in 1964, following Harold Foster, Lawrence Vanderheiden and Bud Wall. Justin Wolf will begin his tenure as the new CEO later this month.

Fifty years ago this week Diane Keller was hired as a newly graduated Registered Nurse in Aurora. Five decades and a professional lifetime later she will step away from the only employer she has ever known later this month, retiring as Memorial Community Health’s CEO.
