Aurora VB camp information

Registration is open for the Aurora fundamental volleyball camp set July 22-23 from 3-5 p.m. for players entering sixth through eighth grade. Concordia University players and coaches will conduct the camp at the sports complex. Please email auroravolleyball@gmail.com for a registration form.

Phillips swings big bat in Sunday win

Chase Phillips put work in on Saturday, getting some extra swings in to try and find his sweet spot and his confidence at the dish. The sweet spot was ripped apart during a sweltering Sunday afternoon.

“Athletes, mind your manners.” This was part of an introductory piece for June Bierbower, a Giltner native who went on to become the first female sports editor for the Daily Nebraskan, the college newspaper at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Well, we did it. Cindy and I recently followed suit from Richard & Justise and Dani & Ryan here at the office, adopting our own version of a “COVID baby,” arriving just a week and a half ago. Needless to say, our lives once again changed direction.
