High Plains couldn't hang onto a lead through the first couple of sets and looked as if a sweep loss was in the cards.

Not so fast.

The Lady Storm rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat McCool Junction on the road Tuesday night, 22-25, 24-26, 25-20, 26-24 and 15-12.

High Plains led 10-3 in the fifth set with three ace serves from Kenzie Wruble and Brianna Wilshusen. From there, though, McCool Junction put together a rally that cut HPC's lead to just 13-11.

A Wilshusen attack gave High Plains match point before a service error from the Mustangs secured HPC's 12th win of the season.

High Plains has the rest of the week off before playing in a Hampton triangular the following Tuesday.
