Temperatures plummeted into the 30s Friday for the state cross country meet in Kearney, but didn't slow down the runners on the clock.

Aurora senior Dylan Riley finished his Husky career with a 9th place finish in the Class C race, breaking the tape with a time of 17:04.3. 

As a team, the Huskies finished in fifth with 104 points. Milford won Class C with 87 points, followed by a logjam with Sidney at 99 in 2nd, Fort Calhoun with 101 and Lincoln Christian with 102. 

On the girls side, Elena Kuehner rallied from a stumble at the start of the Class C girls race to finish in 25th in a time of 21:00.2. The Lady Huskies finished 12th as a team with 149 points. Boone Central won Class C girls with 74 points while Douglas County West took runner-up at 100.
