Despite its best efforts, the Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post 42 Seniors team was unable to overcome three straight days of triple-digit scorching temperatures and elimination baseball. Aurora got close, though, losing 9-2 in Monday’s elimination game to Holdrege, where a win would have moved them to the Area 6 championship game.
