Aurora’s dominating run through Class C1 football came to a crashing halt Tuesday at Memorial Stadium as the Huskies ran head first into a crushing Pierce attack. The No. 1-ranked Huskies scored first and led 14-6 in the second quarter, but the Bluejays punched one in right before half and went to the air for 28 second-half points to win it, 42-14. Pierce senior tight end Ben Brahmer, a 6-6 Husker recruit, was a thorn in the Huskies’ side all game long, catching 11 passes for 249 yards, a single game C1 receiving record.

The Huskies end the season with a 12-1 record after its third consecutive trip to the football finals.
