The Giltner boys gave the home crowd something to cheer about on senior night Friday, posting the sixth win of the season with a convincing 53-30 victory over Hampton.
The Hawks and Hornets know each other well, having played once already earlier this season, continuing a cross-county tradition that goes back decades.
“We talked about that in the locker room, just how many times we’ve had battles over the years,” said Hampton coach Kyle Ediger. “We’ve always been sort of rivals and we’re trying to get back to that point where we are competing every time.”
