Two area football teams won by a combined score of 97-6 as the second half of the Nebraska high school football season began on a wet, soggy evening.

Aurora and High Plains both picked up convincing wins Friday. The Huskies took care of business on Homecoming night, defeating St. Paul 42-6 while the Storm went on the road for its third consecutive win, defeating Nebraska Lutheran 55-0.

The Huskies had 460 total yards Friday and was a balanced attack with 242 on the ground and 218 through the air.

As for HPC, the Storm ran all over the Knights defense as Wyatt Urkoski was over 150 rushing yards in the opening half. 

The third game saw Giltner unable to slow down an Osceola attack, falling 62-14 while Hampton was on its second-straight bye week.

Listed are all area teams and the scores of those games with the winning team in bold:
