Dukes run past Huskies in CC quarters
Aurora's girls entered Thursday's Central Conference semifinal matchup looking for an upset against York, but the Dukes were having none of it.
York took care of business on its home floor, defeating Aurora 53-31 to move on to the semifinals Friday night.
Aurora's only points in the first quarter came from Cassidy Knust free throws as the Lady Huskies fell behind 13-4 after the opening quarter.
The Lady Huskies' first field goal came at the 6:12 mark of the second with a Rylee Olsen jumper, cutting a York lead to 17-7. However, the Dukes would lead it 26-8 at the halftime break.
Aurora was led in scoring by Raina Cattau with seven points while York's Maddie Portwine had 17.
York will play GINW in Friday's semifinals at Aurora while the Lady Huskies will play Seward Saturday.
