Dream job brings Ashby home

■ From Aurora to Big Red, former Husky athlete returns to coach at alma mater

Cole Ashby enjoyed those drives across Nebraska as a kid with his dad, Jeff, who was on a mission to collect VHS tapes to get a gauge on an upcoming opponent.

Cole certainly won’t have to drive anywhere to pick up a VHS tape in 2020, but he’s followed his father’s footsteps into the coaching profession.
