Aurora runners back to full steam ahead

Body

The Aurora boys cross country team was at full strength for the first time in a while Friday at the Huskies home invite, finishing third in what coach Tony Sigler said was a very positive step forward.
Having battled illness thus far in the early going, the Huskies are still working to find their stride and Sigler said the results from Poco Creek Golf Course bode well for the rest of the season.
“We’ve kind of had an illness bug go through our boys team so it’s nice to have the majority of our team there, and especially our top six,” Sigler said. “ That was nice to have our full strength for the first time in a while. That being said, I felt like our boys stepped up and ran a better race and, you know, ran as a team more. You could see in the first half of the race when they’re pretty much all together and it was exciting to see that we have a couple of PRs in our top six.”
