Aurora was a fan of the long ball Thursday at the Central Conference tournament in Lexington. 

Through two games, the Lady Huskies blasted six home runs, going 1-1 on the day. 

Aurora opened the tournament with a 13-11 loss to Adams Central. The Lady Huskies led 9-0 after the first inning, but Adams Central scored seven runs in the third and six more in the fourth to win late. 

The Lady Huskies hit three homers against Adams Central, including a grand slam from Brooklyn Moody and two-run homers from Taylor Janda and Taryn McKinney.

Aurora bounced back with an 11-3 win over Lexington, using a three-run third and five-run fourth to victory. Aurora hit three more homers against Lexington, including bombs from Zarian Arends, Courtney Oswald and a second on the day from Moody. 

Aurora will compete in the B-8 subdistrict as the No. 4 seed, taking on No. 1 Hastings Monday at 4 p.m. at the Bill Smith Softball Complex in Hastings. No. 2 GINW will play No. 3 GICC. The double-elimination tournament finishes Tuesday.
