Jeffery 'Jeff' Happold

Jeffery “Jeff” Happold, 55, of Grand Island passed away on Oct. 16 at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Fr. Mark Maresh will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 5-7 p.m. at the Giltner Community Center.

Jeff was born on May 16, 1966 in Grand Island, to James and Marilynn (Pavey) Happold. He was raised and received his education in Giltner, graduating from Giltner High School in 1984. He then went on to study at Southeast Community College in Milford, and graduated in December of 1988.

In May of 1989, Jeff was united in marriage to Lisa Ferguson. Three children were born into this union. After his divorce in 2005, Jeff went on to find the love of his life, Pepper South. From this union, he gained a step-son.

Jeff was employed by Chief Industries for over 35 years as a project manager. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing darts and being outdoors. More than anything, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include Pepper South; children, Justin (Johnna) Happold, Julie (Sam) Wiedel, Jaclyn (Derek) Stinson; step-son, Levi South; grandchildren, Payton, Jase, Wells; parents, James and Marilynn Happold; siblings, Joseph (Laura) Happold, Marla (Rick) Arnett, Jessica (Ricky) Ligon; and six nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his brother Michael Happold; and his grandparents.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
