Hampton village leaders reviewed infrastructure and development plans as well as funding options for a proposed new subdivision Monday, agreeing to work with a Kearney-based engineering firm on the project.
Craig Bennett, an engineer with Miller & Associates, spent considerable time at Monday’s regular monthly meeting explaining the scope and services of his company’s proposal to help with the project, eventually getting the green light to proceed.
Based on the proposed contract, design/bidding services were listed at $51,500, with an additional $44,500 estimated for construction phase services. Bennett explained that once construction begins, his company would handle the required inspecting, testing and certification on various phases of infrastructure work as the project unfolded.
