Lady Huskies find groove offensively behind senior leaders

Aurora’s volleyball team waited nearly two full weeks for its first home game and sure made the most of the opportunity.
With a loud environment, displaying its new uniforms and fresh new paint on the court, the Lady Huskies swept Holdrege Sept. 6, 25-16, 25-13 and 25-14.
A new pregame hype video produced by the school’s journalism team set the tone for the night as first-year coach Andrew Murillo noted his first experience coaching at home was certainly a memorable one.
“It was good energy and the girls were ready for it,” Murillo said. “I have to give Rodney Havens and that group a huge shout out for that intro video. That really hyped the girls up and it was a good time.”
After playing its first two weeks out of the bus, Murillo noted this was the first time the Lady Huskies really had to make a statement, especially in front of quite a few fans watching them play for the first time.
