Lady Huskies medal three at home invite
Friday's weather conditions provided a perfect day for a run, and Aurora's girls cross country team made the most of it.
The Lady Huskies finished second as a team, two points out of first, including three medalists at its home invite Friday from Poco Creek Golf Course.
Aurora's girls were paced by Alexis Ericksen in third with a time of 20:40.30. Ella Eggleston wasn't far behind in fifth with a mark of 20:52.88 while Kaitlyn Oswald rounded out the medal spots in 15th with a time of 21:54.89.
Ericksen was named the freshman of the meet on the girls side while herself and Eggleston each ran PRs in their first season of high school cross country.
The Aurora girls scored 43 points, just behind the team champs, York, at 41.
On the boys side, Lucas Gautier paced the Huskies with a fourth place effort and a time of 17:09.54. Jalen Daugherty was just outside the medal spots in 18th as the Huskies finished fourth as a team.
Aurora will be back in action Thursday at Central City.
