A look ahead at plans for Saturday’s Giltner Daze
Giltner Daze craze is set to happen Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight with a multitude of activities planned ll over the Hamilton County town.
The events start with the Street Vault at Giltner City Park with registration and warm-up at 9 a.m. Then junior high students can compete in the pole vault at 10 a.m., the high school students at approximately 11:30 a.m. and college masters to follow. Warm-ups will take place between each group.
There is a $20 entry fee the day and $25 for T-shirts. Proceeds help purchase vault equipment for Giltner High School pole vault.
At 10 a.m. there is a tractor pull for kids and adults, between City Park and the maintenance building as well as cotton candy and ice cream at the Community Center.
Toss some bags at the corn hole event scheduled for now at 10 a.m. at the City Park. Organizers are looking for members to fill teams. For more information call Ben Hinrichs at 402-604-0191.
