Aurora alumni reflects on 42 years in Aurora schools
Aurora alumni and hallway icon Randy Maahs is set to hang up his custodial supervisor hat after 42 years of service to the Aurora 4R Public School District.
The middle school honors convocation ended in a receiving line of sorts for Maahs, as many students stopped to give him a high-five or hug on the way out of the theater.
“It’s a good day to be a Husky, even on a bad day.”
Those are words that custodial supervisor Randy Maahs lives by today, and has lived by far beyond the past 42 years of his career at Aurora.
However, after serving upwards of 50,000 students within Aurora Public Schools, Maahs is ready to take a step back and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
