Hampton turns steals into points during 69-31 win

Coming off a five-day holiday break, Hampton’s girls basketball team got back in the gym Monday to prepare for its first home holiday tournament game later that afternoon.
Shots just weren’t falling, making coach Margo LaBrie a bit nervous.
“I just wanted to get the ball in their hands,” she said. “We couldn’t make a basket this morning.”
Once the game started, the floodgates opened.
The Lady Hawks scored in bunches, taking an early lead and cruising to a 69-31 win over Harvard Monday in its opening round win at Hampton’s holiday tournament.
Color LaBrie impressed. After five days off, the Lady Hawks were ready to go.
