HPC hosted its annual Veterans Day program with plenty of local heroes present, taking a moment from a busy day to stop, reflect and honor.
The HPC high school band played “America the Beautiful” while Nathan Ertzner played “God Bless the USA” on his guitar. Fellow student Alyssa Wostrel sang the National Anthem as part of the ceremony.
Principal Cameron Hudson and Supt. Kim Beran welcomed everyone and thanked veterans for their service.
The keynote speaker for the event was Major Ryan Bresnahan, who shared several stories with those in attendance, immediately garnering the attention of students with a gift.
