Webinar focused on timely decisions producers may face

The early July wind storm caused commotion both locally and across the state of Nebraska in the ag sector. It has since affected detasslers, potential early harvest, worry about storage and more.
A webinar hosted by the Nebraska Extension’s Center for Ag Profitability focused on the issue and how to make decisions after the storm.
“In the recent weeks and months storms have damaged crops and bins across the state,” said webinar moderator Jessica Groskopf. “Today our panel will discuss the decisions that many producers in affected areas are facing in the areas of crop insurance, grain marketing and grain storage.”
Panelists for the July 29 webinar were Cory Walters, UNL associate professor in the department of agricultural economics and David Jones, professor and department head of biological systems engineering, also at UNL.
