    The Aurora City Council approved a bid to add vehicle storage bays and EMS living quarters to the 14th Street fire department building at its July 14 meeting. Seven bids were submitted for the project, with the council awarding the project to Herk’s Welding out of Central City as the lowest bidder. The base bid was $651,021, far less than competing bids which went as high as $919,48...
