    Troy Lynn Holloway of Aurora passed away unexpectedly at home Sept. 5 2026, just weeks before his 61st birthday. 
    Visitation and funeral services will be held in Aurora, date and time to be announced soon. 
    Troy was born in Aurora, the oldest son of Bob and Karen Holloway, in 1965. He grew up in the Murphy, Giltner, and Phillips area as the family moved to different farms. He started school in Giltner and later graduated from Aurora High School in 1984, and then went to Grand Island Central Community College for a degree in computer programming. 
    Troy was baptized as a youth at the First Christian Church in Aurora. 
    Troy farmed his Grandpa and Grandma Perry’s farm until their deaths. He then worked at the Aurora Ethanol plant, the Giltner elevator, and most recently maintained roads for Hamilton County for 18 years. 
    Troy married Sheila Moore Jameson in 1993 and two daughters were born to this union, Shalyn and Risa Holloway, before they divorced. 
    He married Crystal Hazen in 2014, and they lived together on the Perry family farm, the home he loved so much. 
    Troy was a member of 4-H, Aurora FFA, and Jaycees. He showed hogs and sheep in school, and chickens as an adult. He loved derbying and trailer races, running as #11 for many years. 
    Troy and Crystal celebrated their 20th anniversary this year with a trip to Seattle to visit Shalyn on their way to Alaska for a bucket list trip. 
    Troy is survived by his wife, Crystal (Aurora), daughters Shalyn (Seattle), Risa (Aurora), mother Karen Holloway (Aurora), siblings Stacey (Stephanie) Holloway (Phillips) and Candy (Brad) Dembowski (Doniphan), Misty Filbert, Lanae Hicks, and many cherished loved ones, friends, community and family members. 
    He is preceded in death by his father Robert E. Holloway, grandparents Roy and Valeta Holloway, and Ray and Verla Perry, uncle Roger Perry, aunt Janice Danhauer, father-in-law Virgil Hazen and mother-in-law Cathy Hazen, and ex-wife Sheila Holloway-Gramm. 
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
