A surge in reported COVID cases combined with a number of other respiratory illnesses are threatening the local healthcare system, according to reports from Memorial Community Health in Aurora. As of Monday, the Central District Health Department, which includes Hamilton County, reports hundreds of new cases over the past seven days and five COVID-related deaths since Dec. 3.  The community…
