Kirt Smith joined county commissioners Monday to provide a much-welcomed update surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine status in the Central Department Health District.
“Going into the weekend Nebraska was at 12 percent of the population, over age 16, that have been completely vaccinated,” Smith announced. “So we’ve made some pretty good progress in the last few weeks.”
March 4 showed the state administering 20,949 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which was the highest to date for one day in Nebraska, he said.
