Trustee positions to be decided in Nov. 3 General Election
With the filing deadlines now past for both incumbents and non-incumbents for positions on the boards of trustees in Hamilton County’s six villages, the ballot is set for the Nov. 3 General Election in which those races will be decided. In all, there are 17 candidates either running for reelection or who are newly seeking election to those seats.
While Giltner has just one candidate but two open seats, on the other hand Phillips will have five candidates vying for three open positions on the village board.
Following are the six villages in alphabetical order with the list of registered candidates in each (The names of incumbent candidates are indicated with an asterisk *):
Giltner (two open seats) – *Cody Nuss (Following the election, the board will appoint a resident to fill the open seat)
Hampton (three open seats) – *James Parsley, *Nick Faller, Janet Ficken, Chris Slocum.
Hordville (two open seats) – *Matt Means, *Carla Fowler, Chris Fowler.
Marquette (three open seats) – *Debbie Beckman, *Ruby Skidmore, *Bob Spontaski (Currently filling an unexpired term on the board).
Phillips (three open seats) – *Dorothy Benton, *Jordan Watson, *Les Dana, Aaron Smith, Ron King.
Stockham (two open seats) – *Vivian Kliewer, *Berdon Kliewer.
