Staff, board members and volunteers reviewed a busy yet challenging year during Sunday’s annual meeting of the Plainsman Museum.
Though the doors were open much of the year after a virtual pandemic shutdown in 2020, the number of visitors and activities still reflected COVID-19’s on-going impact.
“It was a very busy year,” Tina Larson, the museum’s executive director reported during a Sunday afternoon meeting. “COVID has been a challenge, but it hasn’t stopped us. I want to thank every single volunteer who has helped us and made sure we keep going. I’m really proud of all the work they do.”
Larson also commended the community for stepping up in various ways, including increased donations and support.
“This community has really stepped up with financial support, which you’ll see from the foundations and others,” she said. “That has really kept us going, and we’re actually in pretty good shape.”
